Looks like the UC has taken a nose dive into the realm of superstition and it has become main stream belief. The whole Chung Pyung Lake (CPL) experience is stricken with spiritual manipulation and material corruption.  I like the idea of cooperation over exorcism. That is the essential CPL - exorcism. So the difference in ideology between CPL and what the principle actually teaches is co-operation vs. exorcism. If you want to be exorcised then go the CPL. If you believe that the ideal will be created through co-operation then CPL really doesn’t fit in with that unless there is a side development of having nice spiritual experiences while you are there. But a nice spiritual retreat is not what CPL is about. It is about exorcism. So CPL = Resurrection through the practice of exorcism. You know exorcised spirits just pop right back based on the base of give and take created with satan right? So as a method for resurrection and fulfilling God’s will I’ll stick with co-operation. It also is based on Heart - not extortion.

Ancestor liberation is a recent event. Why hasn’t been part of church experience and included in the principle? It suggests that Moon really doesn’t understand the reality of the spirit world and is not clear how they develop once they are dead. Does the mind stop growing once you no longer have a physical body? Can you no longer pray, repent, change your behavior? Actually although the principle says you can’t grow without a physical body CPL says that through their process you can. If you are an evil spirit then you go to a DP workshop in the Spirit World, you use your mind and grow, and you become good. How do you become good again?- It involves growth! But the spirits don’t have a physical body - so how can they grow? So principle is saying no growth without a physical body except if you co-operate with a physical person, or if you are evil; then making them suffer and through their grateful mind and endurance which sets an indemnity condition both you the spirit and the physical person overcoming their sin benefit and go to a higher level. That’s co-operation.

I am reading the chapter on resurrection 2.3.3 The Returning Resurrection of Spirits Who Abide Outside Paradise. “To receive such benefit, their works must have the effect of punishing earthly people to help them make conditions to indemnify their failures.” So principle here teaches that spirits benefit by me fulfilling an indemnity condition by willingly enduring the suffering caused by the evil spirits. Then both parties benefit and go to a higher level. It is about paying indemnity.

Our sin is resolved by enduring with a good attitude or a grateful mind. There is also different aspects to the resurrection of spirit persons depending on if they were religious but not christian, conscientious but not religious, and lastly just plain evil. There is a strong sense of working together to resolve sin and also to help each other fulfill our responsibility through cooperation.

SO principle teaches one thing and CPL ancestor liberation another. In fact the whole CPL providence has it’s own central figure with her own teaching. Now that has become part of unification culture.
